A Hunting We Will Go – Episode 49

A Hunting We Will Go - The Leap Home - Episode 49

A Hunting We Will Go was the eighteenth episode of Quantum Leap’s third season to air, with Sam trying to return a criminal to law enforcement before one or both of them are killed. In this episode Gerry and Iain discuss the power of charisma.

Sam leaps into bounty hunter Gordon O’Reilly, already handcuffed to his target, Diane Frost (Jane Sibbett) who has apparently embezzled a million dollars from her boss Rodney Owens (Ken Marshall) and hidden the money.

Diane eventually tries to persuade Sam that her crime is a Robin Hood-esque intervention on behalf of investors, many elderly, who were scammed out of their life savings by Owens. Meanwhile, local law enforcement in the form of Sheriff Michaels (Cliff Bemis) seems strongly motivated to bring Diane to justice.

A Hunting We Will Go was directed by Andy Cadiff, the last of his three stints in the chair. The writer was Beverly Bridges, the second of her five scripts for the show.

In this episode Gerry and Iain considered proper etiquette on public transportation.
